Our roasting equipment is quite different as we built it ourselves. Resembling industrial age machinery its one of the key differences in the flavour of our blends.
The first 250 gram roaster was built from a hacked domestic bread machine which only produced 250 gram batches for personal use. However the move into the market scene required a much larger roaster. This R & D process took 6 months and 5 machines that simply didn't work. Undeterred and six models later we finally had a machine that could hold the high temperatures required and a suitable control system to produce our unique blends. With a lot of burnt fingers and Inspired by the flavours of woodfire pizza, the machine is designed with the capability of both Gas or woodfire roasting techniques. This 7 kilo machine is still the one used to this day.
